Dan was really helpful and explained the problem well.
Welcome back to the A.M. Electrics blog! Today, we're excited to share our recent project in the beautiful town of Totnes. Our team was entrusted with conducting an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) and implementing a comprehensive board upgrade for enhanced safety and modernisation. We take great pride in ensuring that our clients' electrical systems are not only functional but also meet the highest safety standards. Let's dive into the details of this project and the steps we took to provide a reliable and protected electrical infrastructure.
Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)
As part of our commitment to electrical safety, A.M. Electrics Devon begins each project with a thorough EICR. The aim of this inspection is to assess the condition of the existing electrical installation, identifying any potential hazards or deficiencies that may pose risks to the property or its occupants. In Totnes, we meticulously examined the electrical system of our client's premises, leaving no stone unturned.
Full Fuse Board Upgrade
After completing the EICR at the property in Totnes, it was evident that our client's electrical fuse board needed an upgrade to ensure proper protection and modern features. We understood the importance of providing reliable and secure electrical infrastructure, so we recommended a full fuse board change. I swiftly got to work, taking the necessary steps to bring the system up to date.
RCBOs
In addition, we installed Residual Current Circuit Breakers with Overcurrent Protection (RCBOs) in the new fuse board. RCBOs offer an extra layer of protection by detecting any imbalance in current flow and tripping the circuit if necessary. This proactive approach safeguards against electrical faults, reduces the risk of electric shock, and improves overall electrical safety.
Surge Protection
Recognising the importance of safeguarding sensitive electronic devices from power surges, we also integrated surge protection into the electrical system. Surge protectors divert excess voltage away from connected appliances and devices, mitigating the potential damage caused by sudden electricalspikes. With this addition, our client's valuable equipment, such as computers, televisions, and other electrical appliances, are shielded from harmful electrical surges.
At A.M. Electrics Devon, we believe that safety and modernisation go hand in hand when it comes to electrical systems. Our recent project in Totnes allowed us to showcase our expertise in conducting Electrical Installation Condition Reports and implementing comprehensive fuse board upgrades. By installing a metal-clad board, RCBOs, and surge protection, we ensured that our client's electrical infrastructure is now safer, more reliable, and ready for the future.
